Gregor The Overlander is a book by Suzanne Collins. This book is about an 11 year old boy, Gregor. Living with his Mom, along with his 2 year old sister Boots, 7 year old Lizzie and Grandma in an apartment building. Gregor lost his dad when he was 7 years old. Though at that time, Boots was not even born yet. One day, Gregor and Boots were doing some laundry in the apartment building when suddenly Gregor and Boots fell into a grate. The grate leads to under New York City which the citizens that lives there calls it the Underland. In the Underland, Gregor and Boots met very enormous creatures that took them to the stadium. There they meet a girl named Luxa, a bat named Aurora and Vikus. From there, Vikus leaded them to Regalia, a city in the Underland.In the city of Regalia they have encountered some Underlanders. Later on, Gregor and Boots found out that their dad were imprisoned my rats. He later has to read the prophecy of grey which foretolds him how to find his father. Gregor wanted to get home but also finish his quest to find his father that have been kept in prison for years. In order to do so he has to follow the prophecy of grey. He then starts his quest struggling with some underlanders trying to find his father.
I personally think this is one of the best books I've ever read because there is a lot of action in this book and it's like in this book you know how the character feels when something happens. I recommend this book to people who like action because action is a good genre and you get excited sometimes.
My favourite part of this book is when Ares saved Gregor's life because that was awesome.
